Transportation Executives Association (TEA), OPEIU Local 76 consists of over 80 white collar professionals employed at the MBTA. The one common thread amongst the diverse membership is that they all are employed in leadership positions at the Authority. In short, they are the engine that drives the MBTA daily. TEA was established after a long and protracted battle to bring equity to unaffiliated management workers who had been without a raise for over seven years and had been unfairly furloughed and had benefits greatly reduced. After continued negotiations TEA was recognized by the Authority and certified as an established bargaining unit representing, Superintendents, Managers, Secretaries, Attorneys and various other leadership positions. Our goal is to bring equity and economic fairness to our members while remaining professional leaders.
